The Founder's Story

Rooted in India's Handicraft Belt

Growing up in Agra — the geographic heart of North India's craft belt — I was surrounded by artisans, workshops, and export activity from a young age. Agra is not just the home of the Taj Mahal; it sits at the intersection of some of India's oldest and most celebrated craft traditions: marble inlay, leather, carpets, and more.

Over the years, I built direct relationships with artisans, manufacturers, and cluster-level suppliers across Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh — from the block-printers of Jaipur to the carpet-weavers of Bhadohi, the woodcarvers of Saharanpur to the metalwork workshops of Moradabad. These aren't database listings. They are people I know personally, whose quality I can vouch for, whose terms I have negotiated directly.

Asra Global was born from a simple observation: international buyers want authentic Indian handicrafts, but sourcing safely and reliably from overseas is hard. Unverified suppliers, quality inconsistency, communication gaps, and opaque pricing make direct sourcing a high-risk exercise for first-time and experienced importers alike.

My role is to remove that risk. I act as your fully accountable, single point of contact — someone with genuine local knowledge, verified supplier relationships, and a professional commitment to seeing your order from initial enquiry through to successful delivery.
