Your Questions, Answered Directly

Common questions from international buyers evaluating whether to work with Asra Global. If something isn't covered here, send us a message — we'll respond within 24 hours.

We are a sourcing agent — not a manufacturer. This distinction is important. We identify, vet, and manage relationships with verified manufacturers and artisans across North India. We then act as your accountable local representative throughout the order process — from sampling and price negotiation through quality inspection and export documentation. You get the benefit of a reliable local partner without needing to find, evaluate, and manage individual factories yourself.
MOQ varies by product category and whether the order is for standard stock items or custom/made-to-order products. As a general guide: standard ready-made items (textiles, leather goods, bags) typically start from 50–100 units per style. Custom handmade items (marble inlay, carved wood, chikankari) typically start from 12–24 units. Rugs and carpets: typically from 10–25 pieces depending on size and quality. Send us your requirement and we'll confirm the specific MOQ for your product of interest.
Yes — and we strongly recommend it. For standard stock items, we can share photos and full specifications (dimensions, weight, materials) immediately. Physical stock samples can be shipped to you at your cost. For custom-designed or made-to-order products, we arrange a production sample — the cost depends on the product and complexity, and is credited against your bulk order when it exceeds a minimum value. We will never ask you to commit to bulk production without an approved sample.
Standard terms are 30% advance on order confirmation, with the 70% balance due before shipment. For first-time buyers, we may request a 50% advance on initial orders while we establish a working relationship. Payments are made via international bank transfer (SWIFT/TT) in USD. We do not currently accept credit card payments for bulk orders.
Yes. Handling export documentation is a core part of our service. We prepare and/or review: commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, bill of lading (for sea freight), airway bill (for air freight), and any product-specific compliance or phytosanitary documentation required for your destination country. We coordinate with established freight forwarders for both sea and air freight. We support EXW, FOB, and CIF Incoterms.
Yes, buyer visits are welcome and encouraged, particularly for larger orders or ongoing business relationships. We arrange and accompany factory/workshop visits, and can help plan an itinerary across multiple supplier locations given our geographic base in Agra. Please allow at least 2–3 weeks notice for visit planning. Travel and accommodation costs are the buyer's responsibility.
We work with buyers from across Europe (UK, Germany, France, Netherlands, Scandinavia), North America (USA, Canada), Australia, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. If your country isn't listed, please enquire — our main constraint is having the correct export documentation for your destination, which we assess case by case.
Yes. We understand that many international buyers are sourcing from India for the first time and find the process unfamiliar. We are set up to guide first-time importers through the entire process — from explaining how sampling works to walking you through shipping documentation. We do ask for a reasonable order value to ensure the economics work for both sides. Contact us with your requirement and we'll be straightforward about whether it's a good fit.
This varies significantly by product category and order size. As a general guide: Standard stock items: 4–6 weeks from order confirmation to goods ready for shipment. Custom or handmade items: 8–12 weeks. Sea freight transit: 25–35 days to European ports, 30–45 days to US/Canada East Coast. Air freight: 5–10 days internationally. We provide a specific production and shipping schedule with every order quotation.
We conduct pre-shipment visual inspections on all orders — checking quantity, specifications, finish quality, and packing condition. For textile orders, we can arrange lab testing for colorfastness, shrinkage, and fiber content. Third-party inspection services (SGS, Bureau Veritas, QIMA) can be arranged for any category at the buyer's cost. OEKO-TEX, GOTS, and other product certifications are available for qualifying textile products — please discuss at enquiry stage.
